OUR PURPOSE
For over four years, Behind The Scenes Miami has worked to strengthen community life through culture, connecting residents and visitors with verified information about Miami’s concerts, performances, and signature events.
AREAS OF WORK
Community
We bring residents and visitors together around shared cultural experiences, with free public access to verified event information.
Environment
We promote cultural programming that respects and celebrates Miami’s natural environment, including its beaches and Biscayne Bay.
Technology
We develop free digital tools: an interactive map of cultural events and “This Week in Miami,” a weekly public agenda, that make the city’s cultural offerings easier to find and plan.
Florida’s Growth
We contribute to Florida’s cultural and economic development by supporting the visibility of the state’s cultural institutions and creative sector.

Based in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, the foundation conducts its affairs in accordance with its articles of incorporation and bylaws.

We serve as media partner to Miami’s leading cultural institutions: the Miami Symphony Orchestra, Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet, Miami Film Festival, and eMerge Americas. We also collaborate with the Museum of Discovery & Science, the AutoNation IMAX Theater, home to Florida’s largest IMAX screen and the stage of our vertical series on The Odyssey, Dolce&Gabbana, the Gift of Life Marrow Registry, Art Basel Miami Beach, Miami Fashion Week, Miamy Fest, the Celia Cruz Foundation, and the Nader Museum, covering the city’s full creative calendar year round.
TRANSPARENCY COMMITMENT
All event listings are verified against official sources, and every published event links to its official ticket provider. Our content is free and open to the public. As our programs grow, we are committed to publishing clear accounts of how the foundation’s resources serve its mission. Every dollar the foundation receives goes to growing our community across every channel: more free cultural coverage, more verified event information, and more tools that bring our city together. Our governing documents (articles of incorporation and bylaws) are available upon request.
TAX EXEMPT STATUS
The foundation is pursuing federal tax exempt recognition. Until it is granted, we make no claim of 501(c)(3) status.
